To schedule reminders, you need to launch ReminderPro. ReminderPro then reads all your already scheduled reminders and displays them in the list window. You then select “A Reminder…” from the Schedule menu, or click on the reminder button in the list window to schedule a reminder.
If all you want to do is schedule a reminder, and you are not interested in looking at already scheduled reminders, you can speed up the process. Hold down the “Option” key while you launch ReminderPro, until you are presented with a dialog box. This is similar to the dialog box that appears when you schedule reminders in the normal way. You then provide the relevant information about the reminder that you wish to schedule. As soon as you schedule the reminder, the ReminderPro application quits.
There is a slight difference in the dialog box that comes up in this mode of operation and the one that comes up in the normal mode of adding reminders. In this quicker mode, the help area in the lower left is replaced by a popup menu that allows you select the group (from among the groups you have already created) in which to add the reminder you are scheduling.
For example, you can save an alias to ReminderPro in the Apple menu (you can do this from ReminderPro!). When you want to add a reminder quickly, select ReminderPro from the Apple menu while you hold the option key down. When the dialog appears, schedule the reminder and you are done.
